#Fossil pokemon sun and moon series
The only Pokémon that could really stand a chance against it would be a powerful Fairy-type.Another big difference from previous games in the Pokémon series is that you don't have to go through the tedious task of making your way through caves and dungeons to find these fossils. A Tyrantrum with Rock Head using moves like Dragon Dance and Head Smash can be a scary opponent to face. Its ability Strong Jaw can boost the damage of its bite moves while Rock Head can prevent recoil damage. The move also raises the attack stat, making Tyrantrum even more devastating. Its speed stat can be raised if it is bred with the move Dragon Dance. The attack and defense stats on this Pokémon are very impressive. It's best to use this Pokémon to dish out damage in a short time before replacing it. However, its defense isn't very high, so any decent attack can probably reduce its HP back down to half. Archeops can learn Roost, which restores its HP. When its HP drops to half, its attack and special attack gets reduced to half. Unfortunately, it has a massive drawback with its ability Defeatist. It can use some pretty good rock and Flying-type moves, most notably Rock Slide. This Pokémon has some pretty impressive stats, most notably its attack, special attack, and speed. This can allow you to finish off an opponent with your next Pokémon. If it has the move Endeavor, it can survive taking a big move long enough to deal big damage. As a Rock-type, it has a lot of common weaknesses. Rampardos is pretty slow and its defense leaves a lot to be desired as well. Unfortunately, its attack stat is all it really has going for it. It can cause some serious damage with its physical moves, such as Head Smash or Rock Slide. This Pokémon has a devastating attack stat of 165. Raising the speed stat will come at the expense of defense, but that stat is so high that it won't be a big detriment. It can even learn some good Ice-type moves to overcome its 4x weakness to grass Pokémon. It's possible to raise Omastar's speed and take advantage of its special attack stat with its solid move pool of water and Rock-type moves. The move Shell Smash will lower its defense and special defense, but it will sharply raise its attack, special attack, and speed. This ability makes it so that any physical attack it takes will lower its defense stat but raise its speed. It can overcome this if it has the ability Weak Armor. It is unfortunately hampered by its horrendously slow speed. Omastar has amazing defense and special attack stats. This Pokémon is admittedly a bit tricky to use, but it can be viable.
